Oh boy, tomorrow morning is going to be U-G-L-Y. We’ve been sleeping in almost the entire Christmas break, so 6:00 is going to be brutal. It will Kick. My. Bootie. I could have phased in by moving the bedtime up and waking them up earlier, but hey, I’m the one who was sleeping in right along with them. Not a morning person. At all. (maybe it would help if I drank coffee. But I hate the stuff.)
I can rationalize it by saying I’m still recovering from my bout with the flu from my flu shot. You see, getting the flu shot on December 30 turned out to be a bad idea. Next morning, I felt horrible. (It didn’t help that J woke up at 4:30am and didn’t go back to sleep.) After several hours sleep, I bounced back. Vowing to never get a flu shot again. Maybe I’m being shortsighted–nah! Just call me “Grumpy”.
So I better wrap up because all this talk of sleep is making me “Sleepy”(YAWN) Any brilliant ideas of how to better transition to returning to school? All I can say is thank goodness for a 4 day week!
