Summer is quickly approaching–time to make some travel plans! Well, we’re already quickly filling up our calendar for this summer, so I’m happily looking to next year already. Now you might think that we will automatically be doing another Disney trip–safe assumption–and we just might squeeze in a Disney vacation for kicks! The kids would love nothing better than to cruise again like we did for Fall Break, only this time on the Fantasy!
But we have something a bit different in mind…
…like chartering a sailboat in the Caribbean. Just think of the fun of island hopping in the British Virgin Islands, snorkeling and swimming with turtles, learning how to sail, and generally living the outdoor life for a week? No Wii’s, no DS’s, just salt water and fresh air. Family time. It doesn’t hurt that we could also revisit where we got married (St. Thomas) and honeymooned (Peter Island)! Seriously, while I loved every minute of our Disney cruise, I am super excited about a change of pace (more like a complete 180!)
But I’m curious…have any of you ever done this before? Any recommendations?
Or if you haven’t, what is your idea of the ultimate vacation?
