I’m all about treating myself while on vacation. Translation: relaxing and pampering myself at a spa. So when I traveled to Turks and Caicos for the Beaches Moms conference, it was a no brainer to check out the Red Lane Spa. Red Lane is the signature spa at all Beaches and Sandals resorts. And with two Red Lane Spas on property, Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages and Spa has got guests covered.
I think the word spa should officially change its spelling to sp-AAH because everything about a spa experience should exude tranquility and relaxation. The Red Lane Spa at Beaches Turks and Caicos makes that a definite yes. So when we vacationed at Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages and Spa, I knew one of my “extracurricular activities” would be the Red Lane Spa. Not only for myself, but also for my teenage daughter.
We were willing test subjects and the beneficiaries of two magnificent massages. Lucky for guests, there are actually TWO Red Lane Spas at this property: one in the French Village and the other in the Key West Village. (All the more likelihood of having an appointment time available!) Frankly, both are exceptional and create the ambiance that you are in for a zen encounter like no other.
The Red Lane Spa Experience
We signed up for mommy-daughter spa treatments, albeit on different days. Mine was at the French Village spa, while my daughter got to try the Key West spa.
Red Lane Spa: French Village
Either spa you choose, you will be pampered from head to toe. I would say that the French Village Spa seemed like the older sister with a stately elegance, mahogany lockers, and marble floors.
I was especially impressed with the hot and cold plunge pools and amenities at the French Village spa.
Red Lane Spa: Key West Village
Contrast that with the Key West spa, which seemed the younger, zen/meditation inspired sister. A bamboo garden, more modern changing facilities, and the overall vibe of the Key West Spa embraces you the moment you arrive.
Actually, truth be told, I think I liked the public spaces like the zen garden of the Key West location a bit better since I got to check both spas out. Of course, in fairness, I hurried from my spa treatment at the French Village to meet up with my family for what I thought would be a snorkeling excursion that didn’t materialize because of the high winds. Guess I just have to go back!
Coincidentally, we both had same massage therapist, Valerie, so I knew she was in “good hands” (get it?!) She has been doing massage therapy for almost 30 years!
The hardest part of Red Lane Spa is deciding what treatment(s) you want-they all sound delightful! But once I saw the Raindrop Dreams massage, I was sold. Described as “90 minutes of pure escape,Raindrop Dreams harnesses the healing power of aromatherapy and is designed to bring you back into connection with your physical and energetic balance. This ritual begins with your therapist sprinkling seven essential oils along your spine, followed by a hypnotic, full-body and foot massage experience.” Um, yes, please!
Not to be excluded, the teens have their own menu of specialty treatments called Ginger Lily. After deciding on a massage, my daughter could choose between Front Porch Punch Shea Butter, Sweet Cream Body Milk, or Strawberry Smash Massage. All the scents were available for her to sample before she decided on the Front Porch Punch. As you can tell, I am raising her right–she definitely embraced the spa atmosphere!
Good news: you can also order your favorite Red Lane Spa products online (although I think the better approach would be to get them in person!) If you find yourself on property at Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages and Spa (or any of the Beaches or Sandals Resorts), I would say a Red Lane Spa treatment is as essential to your Caribbean vacation as sunscreen!
