Hey, y’all! I’m a mom to a teen and a tween and an attorney from South Carolina who loves writing, travel, and music. I’ve been hardwired that way all my life.
I started playing violin in the 5th grade, and that started my lifelong love of music. I majored in English at the University of South Carolina, then graduated law school. Go Gamecocks!
I’ve worked for a judge, a Plaintiff’s law firm, and in insurance defense. Now I have the best gig ever: working for myself as both the owner of my own law firm and as a blogger. Hey, guess I can’t complain about the boss!
I’ve found my tribe of likeminded travel lovers over at TravelingMom.com where I’m a contributing writer. I’m also a content creator and social media manager for Goosewing Ranch, a fabulous dude ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
About My Family
I’ve been married to my Prince Charming for almost 23 years. We met at my neighborhood swimming pool: he was the new, older lifeguard and I was the swim teamer in a Speedo. Ah, young love! He shocked my family and me by showing up to propose while my family was on Christmas vacation in Jamaica. Any guy that will travel that far to pop the question is aces in my book.
Exactly a year and a half later, we married on a beach in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Destination wedding is the way to go!
My husband: Computer guru. Cyclist. Best friend.
My kids are why I hustle and do what I do.
This is Taylor. 16 and growing up way to fast. Driving now (gulp). Lover of horses, books, travel and her friends.
This is Jared. My 12 year old mama’s boy who is gifted in math and music. Piano, karate, and cross country keep him busy. Loves Harry Potter, Rubix cube, and magic.

I love football, baseball, and basketball and know a lot about them.
I can’t whistle. At all.
When I was in college, I broke my ankle in France while I was there studying for a month, and hobbled around on crutches, swearing it wouldn’t slow me down. I’m still that same stubborn, travel-hungry girl.
